This homemade hot chocolate is creamy and delicious. Serve as is or add candy cane syrup and homemade whipped cream, top with mini marshmallows and enjoy!

- 1 Cup Milk
- 2 Tbsp Hershey's Cocoa Powder
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 Tbsp Candy Cane Syrup
- 3 Tbsp Whipped Cream Whipped Cream should not be stiff or in peaks. You want this to be gently whipped so it floats on top.
Add milk, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla extract, and sugar to a small pot and whisk under medium heat until blended smooth. Continue stirring as milk warms. Do not let the milk boil. Let it simmer gently for 3-5 minutes.
When the hot chocolate is done, remove from the heat and pour into your mug and add 3 tablespoons of the candy cane syrup.
Float whipped cream on top.
Sprinkle top with mini marshmallows and serve!
