Agua de Jamaica - Iced Hibiscus Tea

Use dried hibiscus leaves to make this sweet and fruity iced drink.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Hibiscus flowers
  • 8 Cups water to boil.
  • 10 Cups cold water
  • 2 Cups simple syrup
  • Ice

Instructions
 

  • Add hibiscus flowers and 8 cups of water to a large pot. Bring to a boil.  
  • Once it boils, let the hibiscus flowers rest for 30 minutes. 
  • Toss the hibiscus flowers away and pour the tea into a large pitcher. 
  • Add 10 cups of cold water to the tea and simple syrup to taste. My recipe is not super sweet, so add more simple syrup if you prefer. 
  • Finally, add ice and enjoy!
