October is almost here! I love everything about this time of year. I have slowly begun to decorate our home for Halloween. Now it’s time to get crafty and have some fun, and some treats!
This DIY crystal ball is the perfect vessel to give your little ones a special treat or some fun surprises. I repurposed our snow globes from last Christmas to make these cute and easy to make crystal balls.
There are two options to make these. You can paint the inside of the globe with acrylic paint or use iridescent shred to hide the goodies. I love both options, but if you are short on time go for the shred filing, because the paint needs time to dry. Use the Crystal Ball Labels Printable to cover the bottom and add some ribbon around it to make it more festive. I use three strands of ribbon for each globe.
To color, add about 2 tablespoons of acrylic paint to the globe. Twist the globe slowly to move the paint around. This paint moves slowly and it will be tempting to add more paint. Don’t do that because that will increase your drying time and the paint will puddle. To be safe, leave the globe to dry over night.
Once the globe it’s dry. Fill it with your favorite treats or Halloween surprises. I put some ideas below. Close the globe and tape the label of your choice to the bottom. Finish the look with some pretty yarn and ribbon.
This option is faster. Used the shred filing to hide the goodies. Seal the globe and tape the label of your choice to the bottom. Finish the look with some pretty yarn and ribbon.
