How to make the classic red wine sangria
I think sangria is a perfect drink for any time of year. This classic red wine sangria recipe is sweet and refreshing, plus it is easy to make.
The Sweets
Usually, sangria recipes ask to cut fruit into small chunks. However, I prefer the large wedges, because they don’t clog the beverage dispenser. You want to get that second, or third drink without any complications.
For this same reason, buy the juice without pulp or make it fresh and strain it.
The Spirits
The bottle of sangria is a mixed drink of wine and juices and has an effervescent quality that I like, but, I don’t want to drink fruit juice, so for that reason, we need to add a bottle of Rioja (or wine of your choice) and some cognac to tie it all up.
Finally, pour over ice and enjoy.
