Bring in the color

To get a great variety of colorful flowers, I recommend visiting your local flower market; this is the place where the pros go to purchase their flowers at wholesale prices. Besides, having more options, the flowers will last longer, because they are fresh.

To make this or any other arrangement, you need – solid vase, floral foam, foliage, two types of focal flowers, small flowers, and filler flowers. Here is a detailed tutorial on how I make my floral arrangements.

Besides the flowers, I use succulents all the time! In my opinion, they go with every occasion. Change the pot to match the celebration and done! I left mine in the little container they came in; however, you can also change them into ceramic or terra cotta pots.

Table details

Use traditional Mexican pottery to make the table more festive. I own more pottery than I care to admit. Every time we go to Mexico I bring a small suitcase full. ?

Luckily, to get this look you only need a few pieces;

A molcajete looks beautiful but also makes food taste better. Use it to serve guacamole, salsa, or melted cheese.

Clay serving bowls, Mexican food has a lot of fixins, and these serving bowls are suitable for salsas, limes, onions, limes, guac, chips, cilantro, and radishes.

When I was a little girl, I would see lace doilies everywhere! So, this is my little tribute. The paper doilies pictured are from Target; they are a bit on the smaller side, so that is why I decided to use appetizer plates to serve small tacos and soup bowls to serve fideo soup. The large lace tablecloth on the bar is from my mom’s house. ?

Set the mood

To set the mood I highly recommend listening to the Musas album by Natalia Lafourcade. Once your belly is full and thirst is quenched, switch to any other music that makes you dance or sing! ?
