Plum + Mint Gin and Tonic
This plum + mint gin and tonic cocktail is fruity, fizzy and delicious.
In our backyard, we have three mature plum trees. I always get super excited to see them bloom. The little pink flowers brighten up the garden and my day.
With that inspiration I created this plum + mint gin and tonic cocktail.
Recipe yields 2 drinks.
Ingredients
- 6 – 8 slices of fresh plum (I used red plums)
- Fresh mint leaves 4
- Sugar cubes 4
- Gin 4 shots
- Tonic water 4 shots
Muddle, Mix & Pour
To begin, place the plum slices, sugar cubes, and mint leaves into a cocktail shaker. By the way, it is not necessary to peel the plums; the skin adds a beautiful color to this cocktail.
After that, using a muddler, muddle all the ingredients until all the sugar cubes have dissolved.
Now, pour the shots of gin into the cocktail shaker along with 1/2 cup of ice. Shake for 15 seconds.
Finally, pour into a coupe glass and top each glass with 2 shots of tonic water.
Enjoy!
I highly recommend this cocktail, even if you think you don’t like gin and tonic. This fruity concoction will change your mind.
