How to Make Scented Chilled Spa Towels
One of the best ways to treat yourself during the summer is to have these chilled spa towels in your fridge ready to go for when you need them.
These are good to have when you are sitting by the pool or when you come home from running errands. It doesn’t matter; as soon as you put the chilled towel on your face or neck you get a few minutes of much-needed relaxation. Sounds amazing, right?
These chilled spa towels are super easy and quick to make. However, I have learned a few tricks along the way to keep them fresh, so I want to share how I prepare mine.
Chilled Spa Towels
Materials
- 6 washcloth towels
- Essential oils ( I like lavender, lemon, grapefruit)
- Large bowl
- Water
- Storage container or plate
Tips
- Don’t place the towels in the freezer. They will stick together.
- Place them in a storage container. If they are not covered, they will absorb the fridge odors.
- Use thin washcloths.
- Remove all tags from each towel.
- If possible, wash the towels with a mild detergent, so they smell like the essential oils and not laundry detergent.
Assemble
- Fill a large bowl with 4 – 6 cups of water.
- Add 10 drops of essential oil. I like to use all lavender or a mix of lemon and grapefruit.
- Dip one washcloth towel at a time. Wring out the towel and fold it in thirds and then roll. Repeat.
- Place all the rolled towels in a storage container and keep them in the fridge for a few hours to chill.
That is all! I hope you get a chance to make these chilled spa towels and take a few minutes to treat yourself. Once you make them you will want to have them around all the time!
