Guacamole and Street Corn Tapas
I love guacamole, so I am always happy to see it at football parties. This recipe is a twist on the already popular appetizer.
Before you begin, make the pickled onions, first, julienne an onion, then add the juice of a lime and a pinch of salt and marinate it for an hour before you serve. If you don’t like onions, then skip to the next steps.
To make these delicious appetizers; begin by cutting a baguette into thin slices and toast in the oven until they are golden brown.
Next, add a dollop of guacamole.
Then, top the guacamole with toasted corn kernels and then garnish with Mexican crema, cotija cheese, and pickled onions.
Football Themed Cornhole

Also, I should note that I used a Cricut machine to cut the felt balls and cardstock to make the stencils. Here is the template to make them.
First, trace the cornhole into a festive piece of cardstock, cut and glue it with school glue.
Now, cut eight pieces of brown felt into football shapes.
Next, use white acrylic paint to trace the football laces, and let them dry.
Lastly, sew two felt pieces together, but leave a small gap to insert the mini toss bags that are included in the set. Once they are in, sew the rest.
Game Day Pompoms
Make pompoms with tissue paper, wood dowels and tape. Here
These are easy and practical decorations for any football party. The kids love them.
Also, use the same tutorial to make mini pompoms to decorate cupcakes or small appetizers. All you need is long skewers, tissue paper, and tape.
Football Party Chalkboard Signs
To make this chalkboard gallery.
First, Paint wood boards with chalk paint.
Then, stencil your favorite football sayings. If you are making them for a football-themed birthday party make some signs with the name and the birth year of the birthday boy/girl.
I use chalk pens instead of regular chalk. They are less messy, and the results are brighter and more defined letters, plus, you can use them to mark your guest wine and beer glasses ?.
I also made these stencils with the Cricut machine. Use the templates below to make your own.
Well, there you go. These are some last minute ideas for your football party. I hope you find them fun and useful.
