Surprise your kids with these Easter egg snack cartons. They are easy to make and so much fun to open.
First off, let me be honest. I am not sure who to give credit too for this creative easter snack idea. I have been doing this for my kids for the last couple of years, and they love it!
Now, to change things a bit, this year I added a small toy to one of the eggs. What kid doesn’t like a toy surprise, right?
Follow the directions below to make your own;
Materials
- New egg cartons
- Dozen Easter eggs
- Snacks
- Small toy(s)
Easter egg snack cartons
First, wash and dry all the eggs and fruit. Then, fill each egg carton slot with the bottom half of an Easter egg to help visualize where the snacks will go, this is most important if you are making more than one box. Now, place one or two small toys inside an egg. However, for younger kids place a larger toy or make one yourself. Here are some examples;- Egg Rattle – Place a handful of rice or beans into an Easter egg. Use a hot glue gun to seal it together.
- Weeble Wobble Egg – Again use the hot glue gun to adhere a rock to the bottom half of an Easter egg. Then, glue it together. Place it on the table and the egg will wobble!
