Tissue paper flowers are super easy to make. They can be used to make backdrops, centerpieces, cake toppers, headbands, etc.
I mainly use paper flowers to decorate for Day of the Dead. But these flowers are colorful and beautiful to decorate for any occasion. Here is a quick tutorial.
Materials
- Tissue paper
- Scissors
- Pipe cleaners (green)
- Ruler
- Cutting mat (optional)
- Rotary cutter (optional)
Instructions for paper flowers
First, fold the tissue paper in half. Make another fold along the same side until you have one long strip. Cut along the sides and keep all the pieces of paper together. Next, cut the long strips into squares. This tutorial used 5 x 5 squares. After cutting the squares, you should end up with 3-4 squares of 4 layers each.
