If you want a big statement piece for your party then, try decorating with fringe streamer curtains. They are inexpensive, easy to assemble and look fantastic. Win, win, win!

This year I decorated my Easter table with beautiful fringe streamer curtains. I used pastel colors to match my Hoppy Easter Party theme, and I am happy to share it with you.

You can use regular crepe streamers or foil fringe curtains for a bold look.

There might be many ways to achieve this look, but here is how I make mine. Let’s begin;

Materials

Simple Ceiling Installation

  1. First, measure the area where you will be placing it. Cut the curling ribbon six to eight inches extra. I like using curling ribbon because it’s lightweight but strong enough to hold the weight.
  2. To place it above your table, measure from the ceiling to the table, subtract about 2 feet for clearance, otherwise, your guest won’t be able to see each other.
  3. Next, Decide the colors you will be using and arrange your pattern. Then, cut streamers to the desired height. You will need nine streamer lines per column (about 1 foot wide per color, unless your space is too narrow).
  4. Now, begin assembly by stretching the ribbon on the floor or a table.
  5. Then, start 4 inches away from the end of the curling ribbon. Use invisible tape to adhere the first color column. Continue adding streamer columns until you have reached your desired width. Add more layers or streamer on top of each color column to create a fringe look.
  6. Repeat the steps above as many times as you need too. To decorate above my table, I used three lines of fringe curtains. Each curtain is 1 inch away from each other.
  7. Attach to the ceiling with thumbtacks. Use the extra curling ribbon to tie it around the thumbtacks. Add some more thumbtacks to the middle of the fringe curtain to prevent sagging.

Wall Installation

  1. First, gather your materials and pick a color pattern. I recommend using at least four colors in your design.
  2. Next, use thumbtacks to attach the curling ribbon to your desired wall.
  3. Now, use the invisible tape to attach lines of streamer to the wall. Use about nine lines or 1-foot wide per color. Also, add one thumbtack after each color change to prevent sagging.
  4. Continue adding your streamers until all the wall is cover.
  5. Finally, add more layers of streamers to each column. There more layers the better coverage and look.
  6. The first layer or two should touch the floor, and all the rest can be different sizes.

Once, all the curtains are installed, use the scissors to make the curtains even or shape them into the desired look like pointed, round or straight.

Make the streamer curtains a few days before your party, as it can be a bit time-consuming especially if you are making a super layered look.
