How to Make a Cute Easter Chick Mini Piñata
This Easter chick mini piñata came out super cute and is very easy to make.
I am not sure what we will do for Easter this year, but I already feel the excitement bubbling up. It’s such a fun holiday for the kids, and that is my fuel.
While looking thru my Easter décor, I found some yellow shredded paper. In my head, this naturally registers as the wispy feathers of a little cute Easter chick. I gave it a shot and I think it came out very cute. Plus, it’s a great vessel to give out some treats.

Assemble
- Begin by making the little piñata. Inflate a 5-inch balloon.
- Then, whisk together the water and flour.
- Tear the printer paper in strips approximately one by three inches in size.
- Cover your area with a towel.
- Next, place the balloon on the small dish; this will keep it from sliding. Dip one piece of paper at a time in the flour mixture. Run between your fingers to remove excess liquid and place it over the balloon. Repeat this step until the balloon is completely covered. don’t forget to leave a small hole uncovered.
- After the balloon is completely covered, rub your hand over it to remove excess liquid and to make it smooth.
- Set the balloon to dry and rotate it as it dries.
- Once the paper is completely dried, pop the balloon and remove it.
- Now comes the fun part, use the yellow acrylic paint to paint the mini piñata.
- While it dries, use the Cricut template to cut out the wings, eyes, beak, and feet.
- Use tacky glue to attach the paper cutouts.
- Finally, place some treats inside the little chick and cover the pinata hole with some yellow shredded paper.
That is all. If you are making more then one mini piñata, then increase the amount of the flour mixture and the printer paper. I like to cut only two pieces at a time, otherwise I forget how many times I have gone over it.
