Easter Game! Pass the Egg Around to Get a Prize
Easter is around the corner, and I am having fun coming up with ideas for the kids. This Easter game is fun to play and an easy craft to make. I created a Cricut template. All you have to do is cut, glue, fill with a yummy treat, and play!.
The idea is to pass the game around, just like you would play hot potato. Play a song and pass the egg around. Pause the song, and the person that is holding the egg gets eliminated. Repeat that until there is one person left in the game. That lucky bunny will win the game and the prizes inside.

It is fun to play this game, and it’s probably a good idea to make extra; that way, you can play a couple of rounds!
Materials
- Cricut template
- Two pieces of felt
- One or two pieces of cardstock
- Strong grip mat or Standard grip mat
- Masking tape
- Acrylic paint – black and pink
- Foam brushes
- Scissors
- Tacky glue or sewing machine
- Shred paper
- Treats or a prize
How to
- Use the Cricut template to cut the two felt sheets. I recommend using a strong grip mat and taping the edges with masking tape. If you have issues cutting the felt, then cut the egg template on cardstock and trace it over your felt sheets.
- Next, load a standard grip mat with cardstock and use the Cricut template again to cut the little egg that has the face.
- Now, it’s time to paint. Place the little egg card on top of one of the felt egg sheets. Use masking tape to keep it from moving. Use foam brushes to apply the paint. I find that the best way to apply the paint is by tapping up and down.
- Once the paint dries, glue the edges of the two egg felt sheets together. Apply pressure for a minute to make sure the two sheets bond. Leave a cavity at the top to fill it later. If you have a sewing machine, then you can sew it together. However, it will be a bit more difficult for the kids to open the prize.
- As soon as the glue dries, you can fill it with a bit of shred paper, treats, or a prize.
My kids were not gentle when we played this! Use hard candy and avoid lollipops because the little stick could poke them as they pass the egg around.
I hope you have enjoy this Easter game. check out the Easter page for more ideas.
